The History of the Cannonerie

Nestled on a hill in the heart of Charente-Maritime, La Cannonerie is steeped in several centuries of history.

Dating back to the 16th century, the estate was once home to a cannon foundry, hence its name. Over time, it became a thriving winery, surrounded by the rolling vineyards of the Cognac region.

More recently, the property has been carefully restored, preserving its stone architecture and authentic charm while adding modern comforts.

Today, its peaceful courtyard and elegant cottages provide an inspiring setting for celebrations where history and romance meet.

Rumor even says that King Francis I of France stayed there...

We are Anne-Sophie and Clément, a couple whose love story began in Corsica in 2017.

What was just a spark has become a beautiful adventure: taking over an exceptional wedding venue where other love stories can be celebrated with elegance.

With our experience in luxury hotels, we know how essential the setting plays in the most precious moments.

Our mission is to offer a unique setting, full of charm and character, where each couple can bring their own vision to life, with the service providers and organizers of their choice.

We believe that every wedding is unique.

Our role is simple: to provide you with an inspiring place, where your love, your style and your story take center stage.

Given our origins and backgrounds, we naturally welcome you in French, English, and German.
